IntroductionRoberta Sykes believed in the power of education.
Over time, the Foundation realised that offering postgraduate opportunities is only part of the solution - there is another major gap in educational opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders. What about the managers and professionals who don't have the time or the formal qualifications to undertake ongoing study, who aspire to create change but need more skills and support to make it happen? The need was clear. The Bursary program provides Indigenous scholars the opportunity to gain new perspectives and ideas, develop skills and qualifications. Meet some of the inspirational and amazing alumni of the Bursary program.
