Ruby is a descendant of the Noongar people in Western Australia. As a Roberta Sykes LSE Scholar, she completed a MSc in Global Population Health at London School of Economics in 2018.
Ruby graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) in 2010 and a Bachelor of Applied Science from RMIT University in 2012 with First Class Honours in Psychology. She went on to complete a Master of Clinical Psychology from the Australian Catholic University in 2016.
Prior to her role as Principal Practitioner, Aboriginal Children and Families at the Department of Health & Human Services, Ruby was a Psychologist as the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service. She is also the Clinical Director of Birak, her psychology private practice that delivers consulting and training workshops. Ruby has also been a Cultural Liaison Officer on the Aurora Study Tour and is a valued Role Model for Aurora's Outreach Program.
